Carburization by soft annealing - 1.7076

Carburization is a enrichment of carbon in the surface of the material. Favoring factors are high temperatures and larger quantities of carbon (f.e. CO) in the atmosphere. Characteristics for a surface carburization are decreased amounts of ferrite and greater amounts of carbides, in proportion to the basic structure.
