This defect has arisen because there was a thick stearate
layer on the rod wire surface in local places. This was drawn through the drawing
die when drawing the wire to the bar and the rod wire became deformed abnormally
at this area. The light undersize which has arisen in this place hasn't been removed
completely after a light sharpening of the bar surface. The sticked drawing agent
has now been solved out from the surface and the original pickled wire surface
gets visible. Macroscopicly, in the range of defect, a light grain boundary attack
is to see.
