Rolled-in scale are more or less deep rough places which are partly in lengthways direction of the wire or steel bar. If strong primary layers of scale are on the rolling pieces during the rolling, by bad descaling or if remains of the scale are liable in very rough billet surface, this scale can be pressed in into the rolling piece.
