Material breaks at the drawing - 1.2249

The wire material should be drawn of a round dimension to a hexagonal dimension. During the process of drawing breaks occurred in the material. A metallographic examination showed a soft annealed structure with a spheroidization extent of approx. 80%. The amount of lamellar pearlite can be seen as a possible reason for the bad processibility, because through it the flow behavior deteriorates and the work hardening increases.
