Metallic solid abrasives are applied in the most different
types, compositions and granulations. An application area is for example the remove
of rust and scale layers at metallic surfaces. A blasting plant will many times
directly preconnectedly in front of a drawing machine to be able to do without
a pickling of the material. If the solid abrasive is damp or oily become, single
grains of solid abrasives could be sticked to the material. Then they can be draged
into the drawing stone and press themselves in into the drawing material. A part
of these grains can then remain, as foreign material, in the material surface.
The larger portion usually breaks out again and then little holes arise.
