Surface hardening at a bearing bush
The bearing bush was subjected to a surface hardening for the production of a surface with very high wear strength. This hardness method usually gets inductive but also by means of burner, carried out. Aim is a hard, wear resistant surface while the core is having a height ductility. Many construction elements are used only at the surface on wear and need a tough core to absorb the strengths. The bearing bush consists of the material 1.3505 (100Cr6).
